At Esri, we bring meaning to maps. We pioneer problem solving using geographic information system (GIS) technology, and we believe The Science of Where™ can transform the world by unlocking data’s full potential in every organization. Our users are creating the maps that change the world and shape our future.
Headquartered in Southern California, Esri has offices around the globe, supported by a network of partners, distributors, and customers in 150 countries. Esri employs 4,500 colleagues who share a passion for helping our customers succeed.
Esri is privately held and debt free, and there are no plans for the company to go public or change ownership. The company’s focus remains on producing cutting-edge GIS software that helps improve our world and delivering exceptional service to our customers. Esri continues to grow every year and creates a work environment where employees can thrive.
Creative, collaborative, relaxed, challenging, and flexible—all words used by our employees to represent working at Esri. When the coronavirus pandemic arose in early 2020, we quickly shifted so that the majority of employees could work from home. Knowing that this would be a new experience for many, we provided a number of resources to help employees work effectively and stay engaged with their teams and others throughout the company. Teams are scheduling virtual lunch get-togethers, happy hours, movie nights, and more.
Esri supports a number of employee resource groups, which are employee-led communities for colleagues with similar backgrounds and interests, and their allies, to support one another. Connections are made via networking events, “lunch and learn” educational sessions, and our internal communication platform (Microsoft Teams).
